• Converter tools upload your file briefly for processing. We do not keep notebook contents after the conversion response is sent.
• Viewer and diff tools still work in your browser for interactive preview.
• We use a tiny amount of local browser storage to remember your theme (light/dark) and language preference.
• We may show advertising via Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies and identifiers to deliver and measure ads, subject to its own policies.
• Standard server logs (IP, user-agent, page) and anonymized daily credit counts exist for security, limits, and debugging.
• We do not sell notebook contents or personal notebook archives.

When you convert a notebook, the file is uploaded briefly to our servers, converted in memory (or short-lived temp storage when a tool requires it), and returned as a download with Cache-Control: no-store. We do not retain notebook contents as a durable store after the request completes.

We collect a limited amount of data needed to operate the website itself:

• Local browser storage (localStorage): your theme preference (light/dark) and your selected language. This is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us.
• Standard server access logs: IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, referrer, and timestamp. These are produced by any website and are used for security, abuse prevention, and basic operations. They are kept for a short retention period and not used to build user profiles.
• Aggregated, non-personal usage statistics: total page views, country of access at country-level granularity, and similar coarse metrics, used solely to understand which features are useful.

We use a small number of strictly necessary first-party browser-storage entries (theme and language). We do not set first-party tracking cookies.

Third-party advertising partners may set cookies in your browser when ads are loaded. Please see our Cookie Policy for the full list and instructions to opt out.

We may use the following third-party services. Each operates independently and has its own privacy policy:

• Google AdSense, to display advertisements on the Site. AdSense and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, to limit how many times you see a given ad, to measure effectiveness, and to detect fraud and abuse. • Hosting and content-delivery providers, to deliver the static assets and HTML pages that make up the Site. These providers process the standard server logs described above, on our behalf, under standard data-processing terms.

We have no access to or control over the cookies and identifiers used by these third parties. We recommend you review their privacy policies for full information.

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, or the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies to you, we rely on the following legal bases for processing:

• Legitimate interests, to operate the Site, secure it against abuse, and understand aggregate usage.
• Consent, for any non-essential cookies set by third-party advertising partners. Where regional law requires consent before personalized advertising cookies are used, we show a consent notice on your first visit (you can change storage choices later by clearing site data and revisiting).
• Compliance with legal obligations, where we are required to retain certain logs or respond to lawful requests from authorities.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including:

• The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
• The right to correct inaccurate data.
• The right to request deletion of your data.
• The right to object to or restrict certain processing, including profiling for personalized advertising.
• The right to data portability, where applicable.
• For California residents under the CCPA/CPRA: the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

All traffic to the Site is encrypted with HTTPS. Conversion uploads are processed for the duration of the request and are not retained as a durable notebook archive.

The Site is hosted on global content-delivery networks. The standard server-log data described above may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and the European Union, under the standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards offered by those providers.

Standard server logs are retained for the short operational period necessary for security and debugging, typically not longer than 90 days, and then deleted or aggregated beyond recognition. Local browser storage on your device persists until you clear it, regardless of any retention period we use.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
